Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) is the County Voluntary Council (CVC) for Cardiff – the umbrella infrastructure organisation for the third sector in the City.
C3SC’s key role is to provide specialist advice, support, and information to local third sector organisations on issues that affect them, including funding and governance.
C3SC is the voice of the third sector in Cardiff. It facilitates third sector representation on strategic partnerships, including the Cardiff Partnership Board and its Programme Boards and Workstreams. It acts as a conduit for policy information, supporting networks around key themes and areas of interest, with the aim of ensuring that policy and decision makers understand the needs of third sector organisations in Cardiff.
Our vision is a strong, diverse and relevant third sector in Cardiff.
The Cardiff Volunteer Centre @ C3SC (Cardiff Third Sector Council) is run by the community, for the community. The Centre acts as a central hub where anyone in Cardiff can find out about volunteering opportunities. We help people who want to volunteer and organisations recruiting volunteers to find the right opportunities.
C3SC is here to help you volunteer in your local community. We have hundreds of different volunteering opportunities with charities, community groups and statutory organisations across the capital. If you want to give back whilst being part of a movement to make a difference then we’re here to help. To find out more about volunteering, call us on (029) 2048 5722 or email email@example.com and one of the team will be happy to help.
Alternatively you can access volunteering opportunities online at www.volunteering-wales.net

In addition, one of our priorities here at C3SC is to keep you informed about what's happening in the third sector in Cardiff, including funding opportunities, events and training, and other support - to equip you in the essential work you're doing.
Cardiff Third Sector Council is involved in several strategic partnerships. A strategic partnership can be defined as a formal kind of partnership that brings together people from different sectors, specialisms, professions or areas of expertise in order to jointly develop policies and oversee planning.
In Cardiff, statutory and voluntary sectors recognise the value of, and are committed to, the principle of partnership: working together to plan and develop communities, and deliver a wide range of services to the people of Cardiff. Cardiff Third Sector Council networks offer you the opportunity to meet with people who have similar goals, aspirations and concerns. You can join as many networks as you like and membership is free. One of the benefits of becoming a member of the network is that you also become a member of C3SC.
Furthermore, we offer our members a wide variety of training and events throughout the year and we are always happy to advertise our members' courses too.
C3SC publishes a training programme regularly, which offers a range of sessions to inform and prepare you as you run your group or organisation. To read more about what training is available, visit the C3SC Training page.
In addition to the training we offer, C3SC works with a number of organisations who offer their own programme of training on a variety of issues. Visit the External Training to find out more.
